Welcome graphic

THE SONG PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND IS "THE ALASKA FLAG SONG" WE  ALASKANS ARE PROUD OF OUR STATE AND TAKE GREAT PLEASURE IN SHOWING OFF THIS GREAT LAND! ALASKA IS THE LARGEST STATE IN THE U.S. (AND SOMEDAY WE MAY BE SPLIT IN TWO MAKING TEXAS THE THIRD LARGEST STATE)!

WE TAKE GREAT PRIDE IN THE CHALLENGES OF LIVING HERE. "ALASKA IS NOT A PLACE TO LIVE, BUT A WAY TO LIVE".

I HOPE YOU ENJOY THE PHOTOS OF THIS GREAT LAND AND PLEASE CHECK OUT THE LINKS PAGE FOR MORE INFORMATION ON ALASKA

I got bit by the photography bug around the time I was 7 when my parents would let me take pictures with their Kodak 126. I thought I had made the big time when I got my own Kodak 110 (anyone else remember 126 & 110 film)? When I was 14 I got my first 35mm, a Konica Auto S-2 35mm rangefinder. In 1976 traded the S-2 in on my first 35mm SLR a Miranda Sensorex 2.
Over the years I have had various cameras, my favorites being the Nikon F-2A and Rolleiflex Twin Lens Reflex I used to have. Today I shoot with a Minolta Dimage 5 digital and Konica Auto S-2 35mm Rangefinder. I recently purchased a used Nikon FM-2 with a Vivitar Series 1 28 - 90mm lens and a really sweet Nikon 300mm lens. Occasionally I'll even used a cheap old Kodak disposable. Somewhere in the garage I have a Canon EOS Rebel in need of major repair.

I'VE RECENTLY HAD PHOTOS FEATURED IN THE FAIRBANKS CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU WINTER TOURIST GUIDE AND ANNUAL TOURIST GUIDE, THE 2003 MILEPOST, BELLS TRAVEL GUIDE, ALASKA RAILROAD ONBOARD MAGAZINE, THE ANCHORAGE DAILY NEWS VISITORS GUIDE, THE NORTHSTAR WEEKLY NEWSPAPER,  WOODALLS RV TRAVEL GUIDE, AND ALASKA MAGAZINE.

I HAVE AN EXTENSIVE DIGITAL PORTFOLIO OF ALASKA IMAGES (9,657) COVERING A WIDE VARIETY OF SUBJECTS

Who would have thought that one day I'd be living in North Pole, Alaska. I grew up in Bayonne, New Jersey and lived for a few years in Hazlet, N.J. But thanks to God and the United States Air Force sending me to Alaska four times in my 20 yr. military career I fell in love with this "Great  Land". My wife, daughter, and I live in North Pole, Alaska.  And before you even think to ask...YES I do live near Santa Claus House and YES I do personally know Santa....
