The start of the 2003 Junior Yukon Quest Sled Dog race was on Saturday 1 February. The race started on the Chena River at the base of the Cushman Street Bridge. The temperature at race start was a pleasant -6 below. 13 racers participated in the two day event. For more information on the race check out the link at the bottom of the page.
