Circle, Alaska is located 160 miles miles northeast of Fairbanks at the end of the Steese Highway. It is situated on the banks of the Yukon River. Population is about 85. The drive up there is incredible. I do it as often as I can. (Note) about 25 miles north on the Steese Highway the pavement ends and the road turns to well maintained gravel - you'd never know it was gravel by the way it is kept up EXCEPT for the last few miles from Central to Circle.
